Known for their take no prisoners style of Death Metal, Dying Fetus are one of the most relentless forces in the Death Metal world. Fiercely reliable the band haven’t released any new material for more than five years now, until now.
One of the many joys of being part of the musical world is the ability to listen to all sorts or material out there. I thought it was high time that I compiled a monthly list of my top five tracks.
Having already premiered their debut single “Fixated on Devastation“, Dying Fetus have shown that their new hand, Wrong One To Fuck With, is still able to reside amongst the top of their releases. Now the band bring their second track into the Metal world with a delightfully deranged twist.
It seems that the Death Metal gods have smiled upon the month of June to be the month where the deluge of Metal is to be set upon us.
At last the time has come Dying Fetus will return on June 23rd.
The underground’s calling card, Relapse Records are THE extreme metal label. Almost anything that has that partnered “R” on it, you can guarantee, at some point or another it will rip your face off. One of the label’s biggest assets are the absolutely ferociously decimating, Dying Fetus.
Last releasing their record Reign Supreme back in 2012 the band recorded one of the album’s of the year and potentially of their career. Mixing their signature brutality with a semi melodic touch is what makes Dying Fetus just such a good band. The ability to be absolutely skull crushingly heavy whilst remaining nimble in a musical sense it’s a perfect marriage. Though we haven’t heard much other than a small snippet it’s enough to get us very excited.
As much as there has been some absolutely pedigree Metal released in 2016, it was perhaps not the best of years. Trump is soon to be president, we lost a truly insane amount of celebrities amongst some were David Bowie, not to mention all the disasters that occurred every day and to cap it all off the horrendous news of Team Rock’s potential demise.
At long last we shall receive an update regarding Dying Fetus‘ forthcoming album.
