Nineties Death Metal | Cannibal Corpse – Butchered At Birth

Following on from their vicious debut of Eaten Back To Life, Cannibal Corpse began their second bloodied chapter. Still having the vocal talents of one Chris Barnes, their latest release would begin their truly horrendous album covers, which would lead to all sorts of bans over Europe.

2017 : A Look Ahead

As much as there has been some absolutely pedigree Metal released in 2016, it was perhaps not the best of years. Trump is soon to be president, we lost a truly insane amount of celebrities amongst some were David Bowie, not to mention all the disasters that occurred every day and to cap it all off the horrendous news of Team Rock’s potential demise.

Wes Craven : A Metal Tribute
31st August 2015, 12:40

For those among you who might not yet know, Wes Craven has sadly passed on it was announced this morning. Dying at the age of 76 we can all take comfort in the fact that the man well and truly lived his life, though after death there is still life. In the shape of his absolutely archetypal films his memory will forever live on. Making some of the most Metal movies and being one of the heroes of horror we thought that we would make a quick list of five Metal songs to do with the classic concept, dreams.

Bloodstock A Metalist Look

The great pilgrimage will begin soon, for those who deem Download not heavy enough or perhaps for those who missed the boat on yet another sold out Wacken, Bloodstock opens it’s bloodsoaked doors. The Metalist will be attending this year and we thought that we would give you guys the once over on who to watch, where, when and why! It’s arguably one of the strongest line up’s of a Metal festival in the UK in the last couple of years I would contest. So come for the headliners and stay for some of the absolute gems that will be gracing the stages over the course of the weekend…
