Decapitated Enters Legal Dispute With Earache

Just when you thought that all was well within the band. It seems that whatever trajectory this band is on, something always happens.

With the obvious first example being the horrific accident, adding to that with the crash that the band had when they were touring with Misery Index in the States and now when the forces of nature are not against them it seems that legalities indeed are.

With Decapitated having returned to the scene with record label Nuclear Blast, the band are now taking “long overdue legal action against Earache Records to redress various legal, copyright and financial issues.” Which has now led to Earache taking the band’s four previous album’s down from the streaming mecca that is Spotify.

Earache has yet to make a response to Decapitated’s statement however it just goes to show that perhaps we shouldn’t rely too much on streaming platforms. Many people will perhaps bypass the band now as they are no longer available on the music platform’s but nevertheless if people buy hard copy CD’s or vinyl then regardless of any legal issues, you’ve still got the music!
