Ah 1991, twenty six years ago now. A year which held an incredible amount of firsts for so many bands. None more so than that of the Death Metal arena however. Moving into more experimental phases, Death released their archetypal Human record, Meshuggah unveiled Contradictions Collapse, Entombed released Clandestine and Atheist released their second album Unquestionable Presence.
Long time Nu-Metal group Seether have announced not only a brand new album but European tour that will be rolling through later this year.
Legends in the melancholy arena, Anathema have announced a brand new album that is perhaps based on something you might be familiar with!

Remembering ten years ago when I was a fledgling Metal head, a small band from Florida would release in hindsight, one of my favourite teenage records. The Metalcore compendium that was Ascendancy saw all manner of doors open for me into the Metal world. In the same year of discovering Opeth, Trivium had a soft spot in my heart.

Recently it was announced that heavy weights Slayer and Lamb of God will be embarking on a tour together, revealing that their support act would be Behemoth, a band who are now scarcely a support act. Nevertheless it got us thinking, Behemoth totally deserve it and here’s why.
