Earning the accolade of Album of The Year when it was released, the record was not only a study in dissonance but the ideas presented were of a surpremely intellectual nature. Top Five EP’s Of 2016

The very nature of an EP is to be ever so slightly exciting. Like tying fans over before the next big release, a small snippet of things to come and a snapshot of where the band is at musically. Originally being somewhat reticent to EP’s don’t ask me why but I think it’s to do with the very short lived nature of it, this year I came to be a lot more acquainted with them causing me to make yet another list!

Gorguts Live At The Dome : Live Review

Dissonance has become a buzzword in the Metal community. Known for its cacophonic tendencies the word tends get thrown around to enrich a band whos sound maybe be somewhat lacking. Returning back in 2013 an enriched line up ushered in the phenomenal return of Gorguts. Having released one of the most truly dissonant albums of their time, the classic Obscura to say the band are pioneers of the genre would be an injustice.
