Rather unfortunate news, Mastodon have unfortunately had to cancel their up coming appearance at Reading and Leeds along with a European tour. 

Deciding to pull the plug on the band’s touring schedule, the groupi have had to opt out of dates ranging from August 7th until September 3rd including a headline appearance in The Pit at Reading and Leeds festival at the end of August. Regarding the announcement it was said that it was due to urgent family matters. 

Let’s all hope that there is nothing too serious in the Mastodon camp. From all of us here at The Metalist our thoughts are with you and we shall be spinning the epic Once More ‘Round The Sun today. 

In slightly happier news however the headline spot has been filled by none other than Papa Emeritus and his nameless ghouls in Ghost, showing that they can definitely handle the pinnacle and indeed the pit! 

Reading and Leeds is held from 28th of August to 30 August.
