Before the growing death toll of 2016 began to swiftly cut down many of the musicians of our time one Lemmy was tragically taken back in December 2015. Having hosted his memorial at The Rainbow and Lemmy’s second home the club planned to have a statue in tribute to Lemmy and soon it will be seeing the light of day.
Known for being a frequenter at the bar The Rainbow and Lemmy went hand in hand, so much so that where the man used to sit has now been permanently reserved as a nod to the man’s total genius and Rock ‘n’ Roll spirit. Making plans to have a commemorative statue made for the man at last The Rainbow will be unveiling the brand new monument to the man next month.
Come the 24th of August the bar will unveil the statue and continue the man’s immortal legacy from 7pm. Make sure y tune in as it will no doubt be broadcast just like the man’s memorial.
