Fear Factory, at long last have begun the reanimate themselves to release their brand new 9th studio release Genexus.
At long last it seems that the silence has been broken on the subject of Fear Factory‘s new album. Scheduled for an August release the band promise that Genexus will indeed be a different step from The Industrialist. Personally, though I am a big fan of Fear Factory the last album was slightly lacking after the devastating return that was Mechanize. They will need to prove that are not a one trick pony with the release of this new album. The artwork I have to say would tie in well with the new Terminator film Genysys. Coincidence? Though I do commend the artwork that the band have incorporated in the past, it seems to me that there is only so much you can do with the human design and machinery, yet each time the band seem to make it slightly different.
This time around drum duties taken care of by Malignancy drummer Mike Heller. Mixed by Andy Sneap and recorded by Dino Cazares and Burton C. Bell along with co producing from Rhys Fulber, hopefully the album will be an interesting step for the band instead of slow walk into the mechanical void.
