After 14 years with the band, Nemesea vocalist Manda Ophuis has decided to call it a day.

It comes as a little bit of a surprise considering Nemesea released their latest album ‘Uprise‘ only recently, but the singer of the Dutch pop-metallers has decided to focus on her education career, and has released a statement as to why she has thrown in the towel:

“After a long period struggling with personal issues, it is with a heavy heart that I have decided to relinquish my dream to be a singer. For now, I want to thank everyone who has supported the band and I in all the years we’ve been around. I have so many great memories that I will cherish forever.”

The two remaining members of the band speak that Manda’s departure is a great loss, but have vowed to continue the band.
