The Polish gothic metallers have officially called it quits.

It’s news that’s not particularly shocking to anyone, but still quite a shame. The project of ex-Vader guitarist Mauser and his wife Aya is no more.

After the release of 2010’s ‘Clinic For Dolls‘ the band had started to gain worldwide attention, but sadly had to put the band on hiatus as vocalist Aya contracted an illness that affected her ability to sing.

Today she posted on Facebook after a couple of years explaining that things have taken an unfortunate turn, and that her general health is not good. As a result of this UnSun will not continue.

She went on to say that a new project is in the works from husband Mauser, but now we wish Aya the best during this difficult time.

UnSun’s music really did grab our attention on the band’s inception, and it’s sad to see them go, but we completely understand.
