A Tech Fest Interview With : Gareth Mason (Slice The Cake) 

Being in a band is hard enough as it is in the same city. Slice The Cake are the combined efforts from players from all over the world. Ranging from Australia, Sweden and to the UK the band have been slowly releasing material and now have two albums under their belt. Making their first EVER live appearance at this year’s Tech Fest we were able to have a quick chat with vocalist and all round nice guy Gareth Mason. Contrary to his on stage persona, the frontman was a polite mild mannered individual. We sat down to speak to him about performing for the first time ever, what we might be seeing from Slice The Cake later this year and what it has been like keeping a band together from all different corners of the globe…

A Tech Fest Interview With : Heavy Metal Ninjas

One underlying theme at Tech Fest was the sense of inter nationality through music, none more so personified than by the Heavy Metal Ninjas. Our Maori mates came all the way over from New Zealand to deliver their own brand of instrumental Metal, that truly astonished the crowd at the performance on Saturday’s main stage. A Tech Fest Interview With : Tor and Øystein (Leprous)

Second in our series of interviews that we were lucky enough to catch at this year’s Tech Fest. Acting as Friday’s main support, personally I felt they were more than adequate for a headlining slot , Leprous performed an absolutely stunning live set. An Interview With : Carach Angren (Ardek)

Horror and Metal seemingly go hand in hand. Comprised of many of the aspects that draw people in. Both genres might be a different medium yet create the same effect.
