Often seen as a throwaway word, community is something that is felt throughout each genre of music. However none is more in a sense of unity than that of Metal. Beginning as a small family run festival Bloodstock has fast become one of the premier Metal festivals in the UK. Showcasing band’s from all different genre specifics, from the moody Norwegian stylings of Black Metal to the bloodsoaked entrails of Death Metal. Banding together once again this August for three more days of Metal bliss we were kindly enough invited back to the UK’s premier extreme Metal festival. Complete with good ol Bloodstock Jesus, crowd favourite Darth Vader and enough fire to ignite hell itself, this is our account of Bloodstock 2016.
Ah the days of summer, the ability to be confident that leaving the house with a (black) t-shirt is a good idea, the (black) ice creams shared and of course the abundance of (black?) sunshine. Though nothing says Summer quite like Bloodstock, attending our first ever festival last year we are incredibly excited to be getting back to real matters here. Knocking together a truly phenomenal line up this year we’ve got full performances of The Satanist, last ever performances, Space age Thrash and Mastodon to enjoy. We’ve picked ten out of the plethora of bands that will get any Metalhead moshing for good reason. Come with us through the rabbit hole and check out the ten bands that we think are unmissable at this year’s Bloodstock 2016!
And even the monsters of Behemoth will be joining for a few dates if you are lucky enough to be in some of these cities…
Originally only Dying Fetus it now transpires that Behemoth have also carried out one Metaller’s will.
Strange to think that Behemoth’s The Satanist is now two years old, having been released in February there have been rumours that the band have begun work on new material however before that the band release yet another ambitious video.
After the mass success of their return with The Satanist, Behemoth have been hot to trot for all of last year. Performing the world over the band will be bringing their new live show to the US where they will perform The Satanist in it’s entirety.
Finishing up another fantastic line up we shall see the Thrash Legends headline at this year’s coming Bloodstock Festival.
If Twisted Sister and Mastodon wasn’t enough for you there are more bands being announced for this coming year’s Bloodstock.
With it now being more than a year since their last album the absolutely incredible The Satanist Behemoth have now released a fourth video to accompany the album itself.
Not long after the dust has settled from one of the best festivals we have been to do Bloodstock announce that none other than Behemoth and Venom will be performing at the festival.
In more touring news today we reveal that a truly premiere line up will be kicking 2016 off to a fantastic start.
