Having announced that Slayer will be releasing their brand new album this September, titled Repentless the record is going to be the first without Hanneman and will be very interesting to see what the thrash legends have come up with for us. After announcing this fantastic news, Slayer have now announced that they will headlining a European tour with Anthrax and Kvelertak.

Now Anthrax fits like a glove and I know that thrash fans all over will be happy for this pairing, though Kvelertak is a very interesting choice. Often sat next to the genres of hardcore in the metal genre dinner hall, however Kvelertak seem a bit of a wild card, though they would definitely make a fantastic opening for the band with their energetic live shows and bucketload of riffs, though I’m just not quite sure how the often stubborn thrash fans might take to their brand of metal. We shall see…
