Riverside Detail New Album Eye Of The Soundscape

At last Riverside have formally announced their brand new album after months of teasing.

Shortly after the release of their new album Love, Fear And The Time Machine guitarist Piotr … sadly passed away leaving the future of Riverside in somewhat of an uncertain state. Resolving to carry on, the band decided to begin to record something that they have wanted to for years.

Announcing their brand new album Eye Of The Soundscape set for an October 21st release the band have decided to go somewhat in a new direction than previous. Featuring new tracks, collections from the Love, Fear And The Time Machine sessions and even Shrine To A New Generation Slaves the record promises to be new territory explored for the band.

Mariusz Duda states :

“At the beginning of the year, we locked ourselves in the studio and we started to compose. We even published a picture on our facebook page, in which Grudzień is holding a small keyboard as a joke. That was that recording session. We were working with smiles on our faces, genuinely excited, knowing that this time it wasn’t just a bonus disc or an addition to something “bigger” but a fully fledged, independent release with that kind of music, full of space, trance, melodies and electronics. The day before I got a text message from Grudzień, “I really can’t wait for this release, I have always had a dream for Riverside to release such an album.”

Ending on the back of their previous billed crowd trilogy the band will be entering into lands Unknown. Currently the band have revealed the cover art created by long time collaborator Travis Smith once again.

Eye of The Soundcape is set for October 21st release via Inside Out.
