Barcelona’s premier Prog festival may well have stolen the show this year.

 Announcing that the 2016 edition of Be Prog! My Friend will be headlined by both Steven Wilson AND Opeth not only is this fantastic news but following their international debut at London’s Royal Albert Hall perhaps there might be more live performance of the Wilson Akerfeldt project Storm Corrosion. 

Not only that however but joining the two beard stroking heavy weights will be double  Dutch combination of Anneke Van Giersebergen and The Gentle Storm along with Textures, the legends of Magma. And on the American front we have Between The Buried and Me who shall no doubt be performing material from their brand new opus Coma Ecliptic tipped off with The Pineapple Thief and our favourite icelandics Agent Fresco. 

A fantastic even that has only been going for two years! No doubt sure to become on of the front runners of the Prog festivals in Europe. Particularly with the relatively short flight time to Spain it will no doubt be one for us Britons!
