Announcing their formation just last week Gone Is Gone have revealed what the supergroup have cooked up for us with their first single “Violescent”.

Formed of Mastodon’s Troy Sanders, Queens of The Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, At The Drive In drummer Tony Hajjar and Mike Zarin the band have released a brand new track titled “Violescent”. With Sanders taking the reigns on vocals the song does sound like a slight amalgamation of the bands, perhaps owing to the classic QOTSA guitar tone but over all is pretty impressive!

The band have also announced their brand new EP will be released on July 8th via Rise Records. As well as the logistical nightmare of coordinating such a busy band to be performing in Los Angeles at The Dragonfly on July 27th.
