After much radio silence regarding their brand new album, the silence has at long last been broken. Faith No More announced earlier today that their brand new album will be entitled Sol Invictus and is scheduled for a May 19th release date.Produced by the bands bassist Billy Gould their new effort was recorded in the band’s own recording space in California. Coinciding with the monolithic touring schedule the band have undertaken for the record’s release this will no doubt be very good news.

For us not so lucky brits we might not have the possibility of seeing them tour all over the country, but they will be appearing at Download Festival ahead of Muse who will be headlining Saturday’s proceedings. Having already released “Motherfucker” the first taster of music that we have heard from the band, it seems that all sings are pointing to this being a very good year indeed.
