With a 30+ year career, Rage are undoubtedly the overlords of the heavy metal underworld. They may not be well known in certain parts of the world. But their influence is certainly tenable. Their future was cast into doubt last year when a sudden split upset many, but Rage have returned with a new line-up and the announcement of a brand new album. An Interview With : Joey Belladonna (Anthrax)

Having been welcomed back to the Thrash Metal arena what seems like a lifetime ago with previous release Worship Music the silence will soon be broken to reveal the next stage in Anthrax’s plan. Back in November whilst on tour with Slayer we had the absolute delight of speaking with Joey Belladonna. Focusing primarily on brand new scintillating effort For All Kings, we spoke to the singer about what the recording process was like when creating the album. Giving a detailed account of what we can come to expect from a singing standpoint as well as what it was like incorporating new guitarist John Donais on the new record whilst also discuss classic Thrash origins and returns. Set to take the world by storm with For All Kings to be released in just two days time we welcome the new age of our five kings, this is Anthrax at their best.

Dream Theater Presents – The Astonishing : Live At London’s Palladium Review

Despite being one of the cornerstones in the Progressive Metal genre, Dream Theater relentlessly strive for innovation. Having moved on without drummer Portnoy the band have indeed understood their identity. Handing the reins over to guitarist and beard grower extraordinaire John Petrucci, the band’s creativity has seldom dulled in their thirty year plus career. Quite no one would anticipate their sheer level of attention to detail on their brand new release, The Astonishing. Not only one of the biggest undertakings in the band’s career but potentially in the genre all together. Putting together a live performance the likes most bands will never see, tonight we are at the mercy of The Astonishing : Live at London’s Palladium.

An Interview With : Sven De Caluwe and Ken Bedene (Aborted)

Following the announcement on Friday that the band will be releasing their brand new album Retrogore this April 29th I was lucky enough to be able to sit down with Sven and Ken with a little bit of new guitarist Ian to discuss all things Aborted. Catching them at their appearance with Bloodbath in London last year celebrating their twentieth year together speaking about not only how the band have remained current in the Death Metal movement but how twenty years has seen the band exceed expectations right up until their brand new album where we are introduced to a new age of Aborted.
