Straight after an album release, the Quebec technical death metallers have parted ways with their bass player.

The band announced today that Dominic ‘Forest’ Lapointe has departed the band for ‘personal reasons’ and left a brief statement:

“We had a lot of fun sharing the stage with him and recording two solid records! Dominic stays our friend and we keep a good relationship with him. We wish him the best of luck for all his bands and future projects.”

Lapointe will be a hard pair of shoes to fill given his unique and technical fretless bass style. Finding a bass player that can recreate the whale orgasms on Beyond Creation’s music will be tough, but we certainly hope he can be replaced!
