An Incineration Interview With : RTK – W – 13 (Woland)

Hailing from Finland, the UK was lucky enough to receive Woland. After opening up the Electric Ballroom stage for Incineration the band very kindly were able to chat to vocalist W – drummer RTK and bassist 13 about what the future might hold now that they are including more members, when we are going to see new material and why you should definitely be listening to them!

Apologies for the sound, it was a windy day!

Do you play a lot of festivals?

W – We’ve mostly done, for the previous year since our album came out, we didn’t do much touring. They back fired basically, long story short. We had some problems with tours so we mostly did festivals, for the whole year. Across Europe here and there, one off’s. We’re kind of almost used to doing one off’s so it’s not a weird thing for us. We don’t have many other gigs planned for this year. So we have this festival, the Tuska fetival in Helsinki next month

13 – And the pre party,

W – Tuska kick off, thing, with a Finnish Industrial band. So that’s all the shows we have booked for now. Then we’re going to start working on new material.

So you haven’t started work on the new album yet?

13 – No, not yet we have lots of ideas

RTK – The summer has started and we don’t have much to book shows with because we don’t have any new stuff coming.

W- We’re going to have almost six months off, trying to put in as much work as possible for new material.

RTK – This is really fuckin’ important right now, there is a new line up. Or a renewed line up in a sense that there is plus two guys now. The album is just two guys just Peik and Benjamin, the guitar player. So the next album should be more of a band effort.

W – Don’t use the word should it will be! Haha!

This is just an excerpt of our chat with the boys from Woland, listen to the full thing on our Soundcloud below.
