A band that has absolutely mastered the art of epic metal certainly deserves to be shortlisted for the album of the year whenever  new music is released unto the earth. 2016 is no different with the release of Equilibrium’s ‘Armageddon‘.

Every time the German quintet announce a new album, it gives fans of folk and symphonic metal goosebumps. This band have done so well in producing albums that really stick on your record player. Perhaps it’s that bombastic nature that provides visual metaphors for every track that Equilibrium have ever released.

‘Armageddon‘ made the same impact. Yet another epic effort that will transport you into Germanic pagan tales, providing a journey with it’s soundtrack-esque nature. Another obvious choice for the album of the year shortlist.
