Between The Buried And Me Release Most Exciting Song Yet

Come with us as we are taken on the weird and wonderful journey that is “Famine Wolf“.

Definitely the best track that we have heard so far from the band, no mean feat after hearing the two tracks “The Coma Machine” and “Memory Palace” before hand. If ever there was a song that bridges the gap between the old style of the band and the new found Prog rebirth, this would be it.

Overall the tune is incredibly dark, making use of odd vocal lines, keyboards and all other ingredients of classic progressive music. However that doesn’t mean to say that it isn’t still quintessentially the BTBAM sound. Treated to Wagonner‘s classic arpeggio lines nearer the end of the song it moves into almost Colors territory, without stepping out of the new breed of band they have indeed evolved into being.

Keep an eye out for our interview with Dan Briggs from BTBAM coming soon! Personally I feel that this new album will be one of the most anticipated albums of the year. Coma Ecliptic is set for a July 7th release via Metal Blade and you can pick up a copy here!
