Polish prog heads Riverside have made their first track available to listen to from their forthcoming album Eye of The Soundscape.
Featuring heavily on their previous work, which sadly saw guitarist Piotr’s final sections on guitar the idea of a river was present now, premiering their brand new single “Where The River Flows” sees the first example of the new breed of Riverside. Created out of ambient melodies the track is a departure from the usual sounds associated with the band but is no less proggy.
Acting similar to a Tangerine Dream the band bring swooping sounds and oscillating textures to the mix making for a truly interesting listen that will no doubt swept listeners away.
Stating of the new album Mariusz the band’s vocalist and bassist reveals :
“This composition shows what the new Riverside album is about. Long, spacey soundscapes and the marriage of electronic and organic music. In my opinion a perfect introduction to our ambient and instrumental world. One of the last four compositions with Grudzien. One day we will all meet where the river flows”
Riverside’s brand new album Eye of The Soundscape is set for a October 24th release via Inside Out.
