Revealing that the band will be finally releasing their highly anticipated brand new album Akroasis just week’s ago the band have now unveiled the most important element, a brand new song.
Releasing the album’s title track, “Akroasis” does not disappoint. For those fearful that the band might have lost their quintessential sound after the departure of Muenzner and Grossmann worry not as you are now in the capable hands of Steffan Kummerrer and co the band do more than deliver. Quietly replacing Fountainhead, new guitarist Rafael Trujillo who more than holds his own delivering interesting and melodic lead lines as well as a beautiful solo. Not to mention new drummer Sevastian Lanser also ensures that the band’s reputable pace is kept topped up. It seems that this is well and truly a new era for Obscura and one that we cannot wait to get our ears around.
