The girls from the California groove metallers have made it quite clear that there is controversy surrounding their upcoming album…
In recent interviews with various metal media, Butcher Babies frontwomen Carla Harvey and Heidi Shepherd have reiterated that they have ‘had to fight’ for the title and artwork of the new album.
In their latest interview with ‘The Front Row Report’, they are underlining it again. Heidi said:
“They hated the title, they hated the artwork, but we fought for it. We’ve always had to fight for everything that we believed in. We had to fight for it, and we’re really proud of it. We’re proud of the title, we’re proud of the artwork. It’s very meaningful to us.”
So what title and artwork could the label be so upset about? In an age of album covers and titles that really stretch boundaries in metal, it’s hard to imagine what it could be – something the band believe in, yet upsets the management. Seems we have a Spinal Tap ‘Smell The Glove‘ situation here!
Any ideas guys?
