Currently on the last leg of their monumental European tour Voivod are the first of the big four to come out of the Deathcrusher tour. Creating music that, in keeping with their style is very much out of this world the band will be hitting the studio to record their brand new full length. Once again we were lucky enough to catch the sci-fi prog punkers on their London date. Sitting in Kentish Town’s Forum we spoke to Snake the figurehead of Voivod and second founding member. Speaking about the band’s past, present and future we delve deep into the universe that is Voivod.

One of the mainstays of the infamous genre that is Death Metal, Obituary lay dormant for the most of the beginning of this decade. Awakening from their cryosleep the band released their brand new album Inked In Blood last year. Deciding to go it alone without a record label, the band decided to begin writing new material. Now as much as the double edged sword of modern technology can be swift to cut you down it can also be an incredibly useful tool. Deciding that the band would be going the way of crowd funding the band raised the $60,000 needed to make the album in just one day. However it then set in the reality of just how much work was about to be put into the band’s return to form…

Having seen a slight resurgence in its popularity over recent years it has become a more accepted form of storytelling. Releasing their brand new album Love, Fear and The Time Machine, Riverside construct a hazy retrospective of a persons life and their decisions to change it. Bouncing back from 2013’s Habitual Levitations the band decided to go for a more all out agressive approach. Detailing the meticulous writing processes that the band went through, along with the monolithic time spent in the studio, a total time of four days… We were able to speak to Intronaut guitarist Sacha Dunable. A Halloween Interview With : Richard Shaw (Cradle Of Filth)

Though Halloween might be falling on this weekend, it would seem that last Friday was when all the ghouls and ghosts went out. Currently on their deadly Inquisitional Tourture tour Cradle of Filth are ensuring that all of Europe are au fait with their phenomenal new release Hammer of The Witches. Lucky for us on their London date we were able to speak to guitarist extraordinaire Richard Shaw. Letting us in on all things Cradle of Filth we spoke to the guitarist regarding what it was like being incoporated into the band, his contributions on the fantastic Hammer of The Witches and it’s writing process and of course some creepy questions for this year’s Halloween. Releasing their brand new album The Oblivion Particle we were able to catch up with the band on their London date of their current tour. A Second Interview With : Karl Sanders (Nile)

Yet another chapter that has been opened for the Pharaoh worshipping Death Metal king pins.
