Returning to earth last year with their deadly release Luminiferous High On Fire are set to head out on tour with the heavy weights Meshuggah in the US and now have premiered a brand new video for their track “The Black Plot“.
Meshuggah are really beginning to get the wheels in motion here. We’re super excited for the release of the new album and of course the upcoming European tour…and here comes some news on the North American front!
Shortly before the commencement of the Christmas festivities we were able to speak to High on Fire’s own Jeff Matz. Unleashing yet another solid stellar effort in the form of Luminiferous the band show no signs of weakening. Speaking to the bassist we asked the man, what some of his biggest influences included, what it was like to return to God City Studios to record the new album and much more! As ever the Decibel 2016 tour seems to wipe floor with other tour announcements and has done once again this year.
With festival season being very much behind us and a plethora of new events to look forward to in 2016, we haven’t quite escaped just yet. Saving the best for last it would seem Leeds all dayer returns once again for another whirlwind year and for the first time The Metalist was able to see just what makes Damnation so special to the most blackened and decaying of hearts.
Whilst BTBAM and co might be giving the US some Prog it’s good to hear that Europe will be having riffs being driven down it’s throat with Matt Pike and co visiting.
Releasing a brand new album this year High On Fire return once more to prove that their reputation as one of the most consistently dependable bands remains.
