With the end of the year begins the time of retrospect. Performing exactly a year ago on October 30th the band release their Live Performance of their jaw dropping performance at Birmingham’s Arena a year later. A step above the norm the release encapsulates just how much emotion was felt that night and what all fans of music regardless of genre sense when seeing their favourite band live.
The growth of a band is truly something remarkable, with Whitechapel beginning as one of the poster boys of the “scene” with their album’s This Is Exile firmly leading the breakdown charge, slowly but surely the band began their evolution. With the help of a change of line up, the band then released the slightly more melodic A New Era of Corruption. Pushing the envelope even further with not much respite the band decided to unleash their self titled record ensuring that their indentifiable and remained yet began to implement more experimental ideas. Which brings us to the present, releasing their most ambitious work to date the band unleashed Our Endless War last year. Hitting the road hard on the back of the release the band wanted to lift the lid on the Whitechapel story bringing us to The Brotherhood of The Blade.
Before their main stage appearance at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festival the band announce that they will indeed be returning next year.
With the band marking a first for us over the pond with their first EVER UK tour the band are not content with breaking down just the one boundary this year.
Dragonforce are a band that are certainly entertaining and feel-good on record, but it’s their live shows that we need to see to truly comprehend this band. Finally the band have released a live DVD to answer all the fan’s questions – ‘can they really do that live’?
