Electric Ballroom Could Just About Stand The Wrath of Napalm Death
16th May 2017, 09:56

Known for being one of the most sonically destructive forces in Metal, Napalm Death are among the fiercest of the elite. Originators of Grind, their melting pot of Punk sensibility, relentless Power Violence and political outrage have been components that even the finest acts will never truly echo to the magnitude of Napalm Death. Despite it being two years since their eighteenth studio release Apex Predator – Easy Meat, its only now that we are seeing the Birmingham bunch dominate on their own headline tour. With the work ethic of the most tenacious of work horses, pushing fifty, the band are admirable for their commitment to their fans, none more so than Shane Embury, a man who is not only doing one, not two but three performances every night on the bill! Hard to know when to go for a break with a bill as stacked is this the Electric Ballroom was in for more than just a treat.

Steadfast in tradition Mexico is a country where ancestry is revered and family is everything and honour is wasn’t at the highest price. This year has seen Britain decide to alienate itself entirely from the European Union, Trump take to an ever growing potential presidency and human civilisation as a whole becoming more detached by the day owing to the enabler of social media. Known for their fierce traditions Mexico as a country are one of passion of true fierce conviction. Known as “the promised land” to many Mexicans the struggle to enter the world of the American Dream  daily for those wanting escape particularly with an idiot like Trump deciding to want to build a wall.

An Interview With : Brujo (Brujeria)

Supergroups are all too often a mish mash of various different personalities coming together and aiming to overshadow the essential element of music, the song writing. Made up of Hongo (Shane Embury) El Cynico (Jeff Walker) and currently Andreas Bjornsson (At The Gates) Brujeria are without a doubt sounding tight. Bulldozing their way through the UK we were lucky enough to speak to the jefe himself Brujo about all things in the Brujeria world. Varying from how the band was created all those years ago to when we might be hearing this brand new album we aim to find out what exactly it is that gives these blokes a certain brujerizmo…

Line ups are one of the most crucial elements of putting a tour together. . Hailing from Brazil we have the all female cast of Nervosa, followed by the Tasmanian imports that are Psycroptic. Moving over the pond to Los Angeles we have the Mexican themed Brujeria and to top it all off we have our Canadian friends in Cryptopsy seeing us through to the end of the night. With tonight’s offering bringing all kinds of musical diversity from all over the globe, The Dome is Metal’s embassy.
