The third and final day of Bloodstock see’s our festival come to its untimely end. Before that however once again we were treated to an eclectic, raucous and truly brutal live shows from some of the best bands in the business!
Beginning the second day of Bloodstock we see our almost mascot like semi inebriated Jesus wishing Metallers well as they enter into the arena. Though Predator and Alien are yet to be seen and perhaps indulged themselves a little too much the evening previous…
With an incredible amount of festivals all over Europe each bringing their own tastes to the table, in the past we have had the Monsters of Rock, now we have Download, Reading and Leeds and the underdog that is Bloodstock. Both Reading and Leeds becoming decidedly more mainstream, Bloodstock has very much stuck to their bloodsoaked guns. With this now it’s fourteenth incarnation this year we set foot in Catton Park for the first time. In retrospect now I can certainly assure you that Bloodstock is definitely one of Metal’s premier UK Festivals.
The great pilgrimage will begin soon, for those who deem Download not heavy enough or perhaps for those who missed the boat on yet another sold out Wacken, Bloodstock opens it’s bloodsoaked doors. The Metalist will be attending this year and we thought that we would give you guys the once over on who to watch, where, when and why! It’s arguably one of the strongest line up’s of a Metal festival in the UK in the last couple of years I would contest. So come for the headliners and stay for some of the absolute gems that will be gracing the stages over the course of the weekend…
With there now being merely two weeks until the arrival of Britain’s most metal festival, Bloodstock have announced the final names that will be appearing.
Though the line up on the main stage might be finalised there is plenty more room for up coming acts to perform at this years Bloodstock!
