Studious in the idea of speed Dragonforce are renown for being one of the quickest bands out there. Following on from the release of their brand new Best Of Killer Elite, the band are touring the world over. Making a pit stop at Bloodstock Open Air this year we were able to catch up with guitarist and musical virtuoso Herman Li. Speaking about the man’s influences behind the guitar, how the band came up with “Fury Of The Storm” and most importantly the recording of a brand new album set for a release next year. We delve into the world where dragons do indeed dwell.
An Interview With : Karl Wilcox (Diamond Head)
As the old adage goes, expect the unexpected. That seems to be sentiment that Diamond Head are running with. Setting into the studio with their brand new vocalist Rasmus Bom Andersen the band wanted to go in the typical British style, low kee, record an album and that perhaps be the end of it. What happened was something the band hadn’t quite envisioned. Leading to a headline appearance at Bloodstock and many other plans in the pipeline we were ablet to speak to the drum power house and allround lovely bloke Karl Wilcox about the surprise that has been Diamond Head’s brand new album.
An Interview With : Sammy Duet (Goatwhore)
Sound has always been a fickle mistress in the realm of Metal. At once praised for its clean tonalities the more modern production styles are often slightly too clean, too devoid of grit. Understanding the ways of the Old School bands are slowly but surely moving back to the likes of analogue where things were a lot simpler. Not having room for retracting and layering the analogue truly separates the men from the boys. Headlining the Sophie Lancaster Stage this year at Bloodstock 2016 we were lucky enough to speak to Sammy Duet the man behind the wall of chainsaws that is Goatwhore’s sound. Speaking in depth ant the new album, when it can be expected and where it will be recorded we got the full low down all things Goatwhore.
Bloodstock 2016 : Day Two
After the absolutely phenomenal first day’s proceedings the bar was set incredibly high for Saturday. As the crowd thankfully weren’t needed to evacuate their slowly sinking tents owing to the constant beam of beautiful sunshine, save for that terrifying moment when we all woke up and heard rain, the ground had stayed firm. Walking / stumbling / running into the main stage area we were greeted with the roar of approval brought forth from the English take on Death ‘n’ Roll that is Vallenfyre.
