Legendary Finnish power metallers Stratovarius have now come out of the cold to not only announce a new Cain’s Offering album, but now to announce a brand new Stratovarius album as well!

The new album will be called ‘Eternal‘ and is poised for an August 14th release, after the band’s performance at the metal Mecca of Wacken Open Air.

Keyboardist Jens Johansson stated with the announcement of the new album:

“Since ‘Polaris’, we have released a new studio album pretty much every two years, but after ‘Nemesis’, we all decided to take a little bit of time off after we finished the world tour. Now we’re all tanned and rested and it’s about fucking time to get back into the saddle. Everybody has been busy the last few months writing lots of new songs, and only the best has been recorded for ‘Eternal’.”

Besides the announcement we are short on album details, but will be sure to keep you posted as they come in. All we can say is if the new album is anything like the last three revamped Strato albums, August can’t come soon enough!
