Stone Temple Pilots Pioneer Scott Weiland Announced Dead at 48

Even more bad news for those in the Metal community.

Death is all around us unfortunately, however this year has been particularly prevalent in the Metal scene and sadly we report that another member of the Metal community has passed on. Announcing via Facebook, which always seems to be a bit of a short change for me personally. Can a person’s life really be related to on small Facebook statement?

That the singer of Stone Temple Pilots has now died at 48 tributes from all over the world have been pouring in. Infamous for his work with Stone Temple Pilots before banding together with members of Guns ‘n’ Roses super group Velvet Revolver.

Since then the singer has had a tough past with substance abuse being ever present in the man’s life. The man was currentltv on tour with band Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts when it was announced that singer was pronounced dead at local truck stop.

Scott Weiland, best known as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his band The Wildabouts. At this time we ask that the privacy of Scott’s family be respected.

We hope that at long last you have found peace Scott, we for one shall be playing some Stone Temple Pilots in your honour!
