Having released their live CD/DVD combo Live In Helsinki it would seem that the band are far from done this year.
Unveiling their brand new album The Ride Majestic is the latest album to be added to the multitude of great music coming, to quote 36 Crazyfists, at the end of August. The new opus will be the bands tenth studio effort and promises to be one of the most crushing in their catalogue to date.
With recording done by David Castillo, responsible for Opeth and Katatonia. Along with Jens Bogren, who seems to be having one hell of a year. Having so far produced and mixed Moonspell’s Extinct, Between The Buried And Me’s forthcoming album and now Soilwork!
Soilwork man Bjorn “Speed” Strid states :
“We just put the final touches on our new album ‘The Ride Majestic’ and all we can say is that it’s going to be massive. It definitely picks up where we left off with ‘The Living Infinite’, but slightly darker, atmospheric and almost anthemic, with some really interesting twists and turns. Can’t wait to play this epic beast live! Await the ride majestic ladies n gents !”
It looks like this will be one of the busiest years for Soilwork to date, not to mention they will be embarking on a US tour with Soulfly and Decapitated pretty much as the album comes out. A truly admirable work ethic.
Soilwork’s brand new album The Ride Majestic is set for an August 28th release via Nuclear Blast.
