There was definitely something fishy up with the band when they announced their recent Israeli concert was cancelled, and it’s finally come to the official announcement.

Yes, with rumours of internal strife, vocalist Fabio Lione has left the band after loyally serving the epic power metallers for 23 years. As all integral members of the band seem to have departed bar Alex Staropoli, it’s hard to see how this band will continue.

Alas they have vowed to carry on, read the statement from the band below:

The departure is most likely in part to Lione’s commitments with Angra who have still been going strong on the Power-Progressive scene.

Let’s see what’s still to come from old Rhapsody, hopefully there is still some fight in them!
