Sad news from the Revocation camp today as we have learnt that the absolute beast that is Phil Dubois has decided to step down from the drum kit.
As a huge fan of Revocation (I’m wearing one of their t-shirts as we speak) it is with a heavy heart that we will be saying goodbye to one of metal’s truly solid drummers. Having been with the band for nine years, the drummer has decided to move on. Though thankfully the band and him are on excellent terms, no bad blood whatsoever. More of a life change for the man, though we can all take solace in the fact that Dubois will be continuing to create amazing drums and we will be seeing him in something soon that he has got in the pipeline.

This now means that Dave Davidson is now the sole remaining original member of the band, though the other guys have more than earned their stature! You can read both Phil and Revocation’s statements through Facebook. It will be interesting to see where the band go from here, finding someone with the sheer chops that Dubois has will be an incredibly hard task.
