Periphery Announce New Album Periphery III : Select Difficulty

Not only that but the band will be embarking on a huge US tour this summer as well as some not so great news.

You have to admire the work ethic that the boys in Periphery have. Not only releasing just an album but the absolutely monumental double album that was Juggernaut : Alpha and Omega last year the band have been in the studio quietly finishing up their fourth record.

Now they have announced that the brand new album entitled Periphery III : Select Difficulty will be released July 22nd via Sumerian. However not only have the band also announced that they will be releasing a new album but they will be heading out on an extensive tour throughout August.

Joining the band will be Chon, Toothgrinder and the mighty SikTh. Its worth noting that this will be SikTh’s first ever US tour! What a line up!

Now for some not so great news, Nolly the band’s bassist has announced that he will be stepping down from his bassly duties as far as touring goes as he wants to concentrate his efforts on production over here in blighty.

Hre is a statement from the band :

“Nolly will no longer be a touring member of Periphery, as he will be expanding his production work in his native UK. He remains an integral part and a member of Periphery. At this time no decision has been made about a touring bassist.”

Some good news and some not so good news but hey we’ve got a date for the brand new Periphery album!

Periphery’s brand new album Select Difficulty is set for a July 22nd.
