Death metal superstars Ola Englund of The Haunted and Kerim ‘Krimh’ Lechner formerly of Decapitated have joined forces to create a death metal super group.

The two have named their band Eldvåg, sounding almost like a folk metal band but as the duo have demonstrated in their first track release, it is death metal all over. The track features the dynamic riffing of guitarist Ola Englund and the technical prowess of Krimh Lechner behind the drum throne, it is certainly music to spark interest of any death metal fan!

The two recorded an unnamed track and shot a demo video for it in hopes to recruit a vocalist that fits into the Eldvåg style. Englund commented:

“We’re not searching for any particular kind of vocalist. We just feel that the singer is the last piece of the puzzle that will form the outcome of this project. It could be clean, opera, growling you name it. We want to hear it all.”
