Currently writing the follow up to their 2014 effort Inked In Blood.

In possibly the best news of Death Metal today Obituary posted a small video stating that they are in fact in the studio writing material for their forthcoming new record which is slated for a 2017 release.

Though the band aren’t allowed to share the songs in typical swamp stomping Obituary style the band have uploaded a super slo mo shot of drummer Donald Tardy smashing his kit to pieces. This doesn’t matter though because now we have concrete confrimation that there will be a new Obituary album in 2017.

Now all we have to do is convince At The Gates and Carcass and we’ll be set!
