Somewhat precarious in the Morbid Angel camp after the departure of long time member David Vincent, who has since decided to become a country singer the future of the band was uncertain, until now.

Announcing that the band have signed with record label UDR Records, the band also mention that they will be releasing a brand new album in 2017 along with “crushing stages” which we are led to think would mean touring.

Here is the formal statement from the band themselves regarding the two :

“We are extremely excited to be in this partnership with UDR. We are looking forward to making a great album and destroying the stage at many shows. UDR is a great label that supports the bands that they believe in, and we are proud to be one of those bands! Looking forward to a successful partnership!”

Whatever Morbid Angel will cook up, I personally hope that it won’t be anywhere near the calibre of Illud Divinum Insanus lets just forget about that one.
