It’s not much to go on but the band have shared a picture of a drum snare next to a mic and the Internet has collectively lost its mind. 

The ridiculous hive mind that is the Internet has once again be puffed up with the release of a photo of a drum snare and microphone. If experience is anything to go by this could mean any manner of things, patience is truly a virtue when it comes to being a Meshuggah fan. Their last release Koloss rattled people’s skulls in March 2012… However the band did state that they would begin writing the album last year and with Meshuggah’s track record they tend to stick to a four year break so who knows perhaps we might be in for a Swedish surprise this year.
