Megadeth Release Brand New Track “Fatal Illusion” Reveal Album Artwork

At long last the band have finally made their first example of brand. New music available for our listening pleasure.

After the exodus of last year where we saw drummer Shawn Drover and guitarist Chris Broderick exit Megadeth many questions were asked as to what the band’s future might be. Keeping their cards close to their chest Mustaine revealed that Chris Adler was picked out on drums and Angra’s Kiko Louierio ws chosen as guitar. Now we finally have an example of exactly just what was going on, announcing that the new record will be called Dystopia  the band’s first track “Fatal Illusion” is available.  The Megadeth sound is definitely there. Starting off slow the song begins to amp up the pace as we get to the mid section which recalls the kind of bite that Mustaine once had in the days of a Rust In Peace. Not to mention the sense of modernity that brings the track to life!

Personally I thought that the two players add a slight difference, though the drums might not be technically too demanding that is no doubt not the only reason that Chris Adler was picked. Listen and see what you think for yourself.
The artwork for the new record personally brings to mind a kind of combination of Youthansia and The System Has Failed and shows our classic Vic in a more modern light with modern warfare. Very Terminator!
