Me And That Man Announce Album And London Show

For those who might not know, that’s the name of everyone’s favourite satanist Nergal’s brand new country outfit.

Me and That Man will be releasing their debut album on March 24th via Cooking Vinyl. Consisting of both Nergal and Josh Porter, the duo have put together a brand new album Songs of Love and Death.

Known for his ferocious qualities in Behemoth, it has become more and more apparent that Nergal also enjoys some of the quieter moments in life. Known to be a fan of Nick Cave / Leonard Cohen and the like the man has taken it into his own to release this new record.

The group have also released the brand new single “My Church Is Black” to accompany the announcement of the new record.

Beginning as a side project the frontman doesn’t know where the project will ne going and states regarding the album’s creative process :

He explains, “With Me And That Man, the songs just come out in a very organic way. One would be bluesy, one would be more of a ballad, but put together they all made sense. I need Me & That Man to keep the balance, as the potential of my mother band seems limitless. It gets bigger and bigger, more advanced and more sophisticated… and darker …and blacker. But Me & That Man is at the opposite pole, artistically speaking. With all the best art, once you have it in you you have to release it, otherwise it becomes intoxicating and dangerous to your own system. This is how I deal with my emotions and my dark feelings and shadows. This is not happy music, but it’s liberating.”

The band will perform their first UK show at London’s Jazz Cafe on March 26th and the record will be released on March 24th.  You can pick up tickets here
