With their previously having been a cancellation causing the Bay Area thrashers to perform the US leg of their tour on their own the band have apparently taken it in their stride and are bringing the tour to the U.K.
Celebrating their release of their brand new album last year with a double performance at Camden’s Roundhouse Machine Head left their mark with a stellar show, now the band have announced that they will indeed be returning this March. Following a European tour the band will be hitting up the U.K. on eight dates all over the British Isles. Billing the tour as An Evening With, this will be full of deep cuts, material perhaps not performed before.
Comments the bull headed Robb Flynn :
We’re not trying to have a good time with a bunch of people who don’t know who we are. If MACHINE HEAD throws a party, big or small, we don’t want a bunch of ‘strangers’ there. This is about us and you guys, the die-hards, the Head Cases, The Fucking Undesirables! We don’t care about the others out there. We’re here and we’re not going anywhere.
If those people want to be a part of this, they know where to find us. So for the time being, and maybe ‘forever’, we’re done reaching out for them.”
An interesting take on the idea of touring, then again when a band are at the stature of Machine Head they can very much do what they want. Either way Machine Head do indeed know how to party so for those Head Cases this will not be one to miss.
