After six years of bringing bands over Hevy Fest is sadly no more. 

With this year set to be the biggest yet Hevy Fest were looking to have a fantastic line up with the likes of Refused and Animals As Leaders truly igniting the crowd however sadly this shall not come to be. Despite all of the efforts put forward by the festival, the bottom line is that they are simply not making enough money. 

With many other contributors from the fact that original set up in Port Lympyne had to change to booking bands with more exclusive performances leaving the festival slightly in the lurch for announcing final headliners. Bowing out gracefully the festival have done the right thing unlike many other reoccurring festivals which have simply not paid their bands. Perhaps this might lay the ground to make the likes of UK- Tech Fest even bigger. It is worrying though with the demise of Sonisphere as well at least we have the more true Bloodstock and Download to appeal to the masses! 

Anyone who purchased a ticket to the event will be refunded in the next ten days. RIP Hevy Fest.
