Paradise Lost is commemorating the 30th anniversary of their album Icon with a complete re-recording of the album and two shows in the United Kingdom featuring My Dying Bride.

“Our specific record deal during the time we signed for the Icon album meant that we would never actually possess the rights to our music or artwork. Therefore, in order to reissue the album ourselves for its 30th anniversary, it was necessary to re-record and completely redo the album cover,” stated Nick Holmes, the vocalist of Paradise Lost.

“Re-recording Icon has not only allowed us to release it as a series of collector’s editions on vinyl, but it has also been a wonderful experience to revisit songs from a bygone era. The original recordings hold a nostalgic place in all our lives and can never be replaced. However, it has been immensely enjoyable to once again delve into those early MFN days, and I hope that the final result reflects that sentiment!”
