Costin Chioreanu Raising Money For Goodbye To Gravity Fire

A household name in the world of Metal, Costin Chioreanu has been responsible for some of the best Metal artwork out there. This year alone the man has given his talents to the ghoulish new Grave artwork, lyric video to Carach Angren and last year the eponymous At The Gates return.

With the artist being from a Romanian background the events that occurred at the show have not only rocked the foundation’s of the country but the Metal world as a whole. Currently as it stands the fire has claimed the lives of 51 people. When local band Goodbye to Gravity were performing, an illegal pyro show led to the venue catching fire and with the venue being sold over capacity stampedes to get out of the building.

Aiming to repair the damaged Metal community the artist come musician has put together a collection of music, entitled The Quest For A Morning Star the record will consist of soundtracks that the artist has created. Curating his exhibitions in the past with these “soundtracks” the man has now come together with some of Metal’s musicians. The album will be made available by Bandcamp to help any proceeds for the sufferers from the Bucharest fire.

Comments Chioreanu :

“Is very hard for me to find the words to convey the devastating effect of this, so I’ll try to just stick to the facts. For our small community of music fans, this has been beyond terrible – many of us here have been friends for many years, and those newer to the scene, we’d still have recognised. The loss and impact is almost too big to comprehend at the moment.

“I want to thank all the great musicians who have taken part in these soundtracks – for their immediate response and support in making this compilation possible and available for fundraising. The love and support that’s out there in the international metal scene is unbelievable. I want to thank everybody who has helped out, from the bottom of my heart.”

With each chapter having their own unique musicians contributing to the tracks from Mayhem’s Atilla Csihar and Rune Eriksen it is a fantastic idea and we strongly urge you all to make a donation for those affected by the fire.
