Cattle Decapitation Unleash New Album Details And Song

Cattle Decapitation have at long last lifted the lid on their brand new album, announcing artwork, themes, release date and a brand new song!

Cattle Decapitation have been playing their cards incredibly close to their chest. After releasing the fantastic Monolith Of Inhumanity all the way back in the year 2012, the boys set their return for this year. Teasing fans with shots of the band in the recording studio early in the year along with a mini US tour the band have been growing from strength to strength, the anticipation has indeed reached fever pitch making this year’s new release arguably the biggest of the band’s career. At long last the silence has finally been broken.

We can now reveal the band’s seventh full length will be entitled The Anthropocene Extinction. Along with the classic themes that Cattle Decapitation have always portrayed in their work the album will be dealing with human waste I would imagine judging from the artwork. A small definition from the band can be seen here.

Anthropocene, a proposed term for the present geological epoch (from the time of the Industrial Revolution onwards), during which humanity has begun to have a significant impact on the environment.

With the sadistic yet refined artwork of Wes Benscoter, who previously designed the Planet of the Apes homage that was Monolith along with many other classic death metal acts. We can see the bodies that have been killed contain elements of rubbish that will no doubt be another theme of the bands new album.  Not only that though the band debut a brand new song, “Manufactured Extinct” as well from the new record showing that the band have most definitely still got it! I would say that the sound that was experimented with on final tracks “Kingdom Of Tyrants” is definitely present in the new album making for it to be a lsightly more progressive affair.  With production duties being taken care of by Dave Otero, who has produced the bands previous efforts we’re in for a real treat.

The Anthropocene Extinction :

1. Manufactured Extinct
2. The Prophets of Loss
3. Plagueborne
4. Clandestine Ways (Krokodil Rot)
5. Circo Inhumanitas
6. The Burden Of Seven Billion
