Releasing their latest album the devastating The Anthropocene Extinction just last week, we can safely say that the first week of sales have been absolutely fantastic for the band. 

A moment for celebration not just for Cattle Decapitation fans but for the Metal scene in general. With the band’s having such an abrasive sound it is amazing that they have garnered such a loyal following and has made them have their highest charting release to date. Going on to support Cannibal Corpse and no doubt many more kings of the Death Metal arena, the band are set for big things. 

The Anthropocene Extinction debuted at #100 on the Billboard 200 chart (#41 on the Top 200 Current Albums chart). Selling roughly 5,900 copies in its first week of release in the United States, the album more than doubled the sales tally of the band’s previous album, Monolith of Inhumanity , which sold 2,500 in its debut week.
