Releasing their brand new record The Direction of Last Things this Friday 13th Intronaut are set to expand their already impressive legacy. Bouncing back from 2013’s Habitual Levitations the band decided to go for a more all out agressive approach. Detailing the meticulous writing processes that the band went through, along with the monolithic time spent in the studio, a total time of four days… We were able to speak to Intronaut guitarist Sacha Dunable. Kindly explaining some of the processes behind the record and what made the band decide to opt for a more organic sound for their latest outing. An Interview With : Adam Zars (Tribulation)

Moving into the darker regions of the seasonal spectrum we welcomed a truly despondent tour last month. Among a house hold name we were able to speak to Tribulation. Currently making waves all over the Metal scene with their essential brand new album Children Of The Night we spoke to guitarist mastermind Adam Zars on their slight downtime in London before their fantastic show at Koko. Speaking to the guitarist we were able to find out a little more about how the writing of The Children of The Night went about, what themes are explored on the new album and how they assimilated a sound of the seventies to form this nocturnal vampiric Doors sound. An Interview With : Ivar and Grutle (Enslaved)

Previously having spoken to one Enslaved mastermind Ivar Bjornson at this year’s Bloodstock we were lucky enough to find ourselves with not just one but two members of the influential Norwegian Metal band. Just before their performance in September the dynamic duo were able to have a quick chat about In Times. Hearing the various different methods involved in the entire process of the writing from both Ivar and Grutle along with Enslaved making their Norwegian school debut and of course the announcement that they shall be returning early next year. A Halloween Interview With : Richard Shaw (Cradle Of Filth)

Though Halloween might be falling on this weekend, it would seem that last Friday was when all the ghouls and ghosts went out. Currently on their deadly Inquisitional Tourture tour Cradle of Filth are ensuring that all of Europe are au fait with their phenomenal new release Hammer of The Witches. Lucky for us on their London date we were able to speak to guitarist extraordinaire Richard Shaw. Letting us in on all things Cradle of Filth we spoke to the guitarist regarding what it was like being incoporated into the band, his contributions on the fantastic Hammer of The Witches and it’s writing process and of course some creepy questions for this year’s Halloween. Releasing their brand new album The Oblivion Particle we were able to catch up with the band on their London date of their current tour. With varying levels in it’s progressive nature the new album is a fantastic initiation for those less versed in the ways of Spock’s Beard. A Second Interview With : Karl Sanders (Nile)

Having released their brand new album two months ago Nile have just begun their latest chapter in the band’s extreme life. Yet another chapter that has been opened for the Pharaoh worshipping Death Metal king pins. Stating in our previous chat that the new album brings the focus back to the idea of the age old brutality of Death Metal, the record has unfairly been classified as sounding very samey. We were lucky enough to speak to Karl Sanders, Nile main man for a second time this year, asking exactly what the reaction to What Should Not Be Unearthed was like from the fans, what some of his favourite Egyptian mythology might be and is the new album the first evidence of the band bringing modern day ideologies with a Nile type filter? Just under a month ago we had the pleasure of speaking to one of Progressive Metal’s heralded heroes before their blistering set at London’s Electric Ballroom. Acting as a double header of sorts Haken were not one to miss in the double package with their recent stint with Between The Buried and Me. Having previously spoken to both Rich and Ross we thought perhaps it was time to get a different side of the coin. Keyboardist Deigo Tejeida was gracious enough to speak with us about what the state of Haken’s new album is, the story behind Crystallised and his shared passion for Phillip Glass.

Death Metal itself as a genre has seen many different incarnations, currently in a state of revival though none were as pertinent as the nineties. Seeing bands sprout from nothing, these were the real beginnings of the Death Metal scene. Waving the flag proudly for New York Suffocation emerged to create some of the most sonically crushing music there has been. With releases like the classic Effigy Of The Forgotten, Breeding The Spawn and Pierced From Within it wouldn’t be far from the truth to call the band Death Metal royalty.
